E.S.P. Das

Eshwar S. Purandar Das is the founder of Das & Co. and is based in New York City. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector, including a decade-long tenure as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Das serves as an Advisory Director to Harvard University’s Asian Studies department and as President of the E.S.P. Das Education Foundation, a philanthropic organization that actively supports educational initiatives worldwide. Mr. Das served as a Trustee of Brown University from 1993-1999 and is currently a Council Member on Brown’s India Advisory Council. Mr. Das attended the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Brown University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Sriram Das

Sriram P. Das joined Das & Co. team in 2010 as Managing Director with the responsibility of developing new lines of business and finding and evaluating new investment opportunities. Sriram is also Managing Director of Landmark Banyan Real Estate Advisors LLC.

In 2006 Sriram Das established a feature film production company, Das Films. As executive producer Sriram was responsible for several feature films that have been selected for film festivals such as the Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival.

Prior to forming Das Films, Sriram worked at Merrill Lynch. While there, he served large Canadian and Latin American institutions. Sriram started his career as the cofounder of QPlus Networks in 2000. He was Executive Director of Business Development, responsible for writing their business plan, playing a crucial role in fundraising and managing their Italian subsidiary.

Sriram graduated A.B. Cum Laude from Harvard University with a concentration in Social Studies. He also earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Strategy from Yale University.

Alex Hung

Alex Hung joined Das & Co. in 2010 as Managing Director, where he led the development of China and other emerging market investment opportunities. Alex has extensive real estate experience, as he also is a Principal of LWP Capital, a real estate investment firm specializing in the New York metropolitan area and he also spearheads his family’s real estate investments in China alongside Das & Co. local partner Boson Development.  The aggregate value of real estate transactions with all entities he has worked with total over $2 billion in value.  Previously, Alex worked in the Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch (“BAML”), where he focused on M&A, equity and debt raising advisory for the firm’s clients. Alex graduated with a B.A. from Dartmouth College with a concentration in History and Economics. He also earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree (“M.B.A”) from Yale University.

Steven Shapiro

Steven joined the executive team at Das & Co. in 2011 as Vice President, actively participating in the venture’s new business endeavors. Steven is also Vice President of Landmark Banyan Real Estate Advisors LLC and is responsible for all areas of operations for the firm.

Steven was a Senior Marketing Representative for Aetna, Inc., a Fortune 100 Corporation, where he was a top performer in the Pennsylvania Metro marketing team before leaving the company to pursue his MBA in Finance at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Upon completing his MBA at NYU, Steven began an entrepreneurial career with the formation of two small entertainment and media companies: a television and film development and production company, and a music management firm. This led to a career as a freelance Line Producer and Assistant Director, where Steven has brought over two dozen film projects to fruition, including Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival Award-winners and an Oscar nominee, and he has produced music videos and commercials for a number of major brands and record labels.

Steven joined Das Films in 2007, where he continues to serve as the Head of Production, overseeing the budgeting, union contracts, development financing, and all production for the company’s robust slate of over twenty feature film projects, mostly based on popular literary properties.

Steven earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree and Dean’s List accolades from Syracuse University, and an MBA in Finance from New York University, where he served as Vice President of the Stern Student Corporation, and was a Dean’s Leadership Award recipient. He currently lives in New York City, where he is also an investing partner and contributing manager of a successful food and beverage establishment.

Kyle McCollum

Kyle joined Das & Co. in 2014 as CFO and Senior Controller of its Landmark Banyan Fund.  Kyle is also actively participating in the venture’s new business endeavors.

Prior to joining Das & Co., Kyle was Director of Finance at 29th Street Capital, a real estate investment firm with over $500 million in assets through the U.S.  Kyle managed the accounting, portfolio valuation, compliance, financial/investment reporting, and office operations for 29th Street Capital as well as its respective residential, multifamily and distressed mortgage funds.

Kyle has also served as Director of Finance and Corporate Compliance at F. Robbe International Attorneys at Law, an international transactional and securities based law firm in Southern California. While at F. Robbe International, Kyle focused on complex finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and worked with several companies on international cross-listing to U.S. public markets. Kyle also co-founded Black Ocean International, a private equity company concentrating on Oil/Gas and Mining/Mineral transactions.

Kyle earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Master of Accountancy degree with Dean’s List accolades from the University of Montana. Kyle also holds a Certified Public Accounting license.

Olga Franco

Olga joined Das & Co. in 2011 as an Associate. Between 2009 and 2011, she was an Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Unison Technologies, Inc., a software development company, and Intermedia Inc., a global leader in cloud services and the world’s largest Microsoft Exchange hosting provider.

A former runway model, Olga designed an haute couture collection, which was presented at 2011 Couture Fashion Week at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York.
While in Russia, Olga earned a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from University of Economics and Management, and in 2012 she successfully completed the Business Certificate Program at Columbia University working towards MBA.
